Nestled in the midst of a meticulously restored 19th Century shipping village, the Old Wharf Cottage offers the perfect private hide-away. View ocean bound vessels from your private balcony or listen to music from the old fashioned bandstand across the street from your porch. The Old Wharf Cottage is located at the foot of Bohemia Avenue along the banks of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. Next door to the Bayard House Restaurant, and within easy walking distance of several antique shops, gift shops, artists galleries, and other restaurants, you'll find much to see in town. You are just minutes away from the Chesapeake Bay with its many rivers, parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

The Old Wharf Cottage features a sitting room with sofa bed, full kitchen, and bath are located on the first floor. The second floor bedroom is complete with a queen-size bed and private balcony overlooking the canal. The cottage offers the ideal place to stay whether you are in the area for a corporate visit, a romantic getaway, or family visit. Dine at the Bayard House Restaurant or enjoy a drink at the "Hole in the Wall" bar - a hospitality tradition dating back to the early days of the canal. The town has many seasonal events that draw guests. Visit during the Christmas season and watch Santa arrive by boat. During the summer enjoy Canal Day, or visit in the fall for the annual Ghost Walk. No matter what time of the year, there are may events. Additionally, we can provide guided tours of the area.

Corporate or discounted rates available for long term rentals up to two months, depending on availability. Monthly rates are also available. Please contact us for the rates.

We accept all major credit cards and travelers checks.

6% Maryland sales tax will also apply. We require a $50 per night deposit at the time of reservation. The Cottage is double occupancy, and an additional charge of $20 per night will be charged for each additional guest. Cancellations made at least ten days prior to arrival will be refunded; however, a $50 administration fee will be charged with all cancellations.

Check out time is 11 AM, Check in time is 2 PM.
