From Newark - Wilmington - points North Take I-95 South to Route 896 South (Exit 1A). Follow Route 896 South for three miles to the intersection of Route 40 West, make a right. Follow Route 40 West for three miles, cross the Maryland state line, and continue for three additional miles. At the intersection of Route 40 and Route 213, make a left on to Route 213 South. Follow Route 213 South for six miles and cross the Chesapeake City Bridge. Take your first immediate right off of the bridge, there will be an exit, and bear to your right at the yield sign. This will bring you to a stop sign under the bridge. At the stop, make a left on George Street and follow George Street into town to a dead end. At the dead end, make a right on to First Street. At the end of First Street, make a left on to Bohemia Avenue. The Bayard House Restaurant is the last house on the left. From Middletown and points East Follow Route 896/Route 71 North through the town of Middletown. Make a left at the red light before the Summit Bridge on to Route 15 South. Follow Route 15 for ¼ mile to Route 286; turn right. Follow Route 286 West to Chesapeake City for approximately four miles. Go around the basin and at the first intersection, make a right on to Bohemia Avenue. The Bayard House Restaurant is located at the end of the street on the left. SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING ROUTE 286 (currently closed - under construction) Rt. 286 will be CLOSED for bulkhead replacement from January 9, 2007 through May 25, 2007. Detour signs are posted. Only through traffic allowed will be school buses and emergency personnel. Immediately after crossing the state line into Maryland, take the first left onto Old Telegraph Road. Follow Old Telegraph Rd. to the stop sign. At the stop sign take a right onto Rt. 310. Follow Rt. 310 for approximately 1.5 miles. Make your first right onto Rt. 342 (St. Augustine Church). This is a very sharp right turn. Follow Rt. 342 to stop sign. Make right onto George St. Follow to end of George St. and make right onto First St. Follow to Stop sign and make left onto Bohemia Ave. We are the last house on the left Baltimore/DC and points South Take I-95 North to the town of North East, Maryland. As you come off the exit, bear to your right and follow Route 272 to the intersection of Route 40 East, approximately three miles. Make a left at the traffic signal. Follow Route 40 East for seven miles to the intersection of Route 213. Make a right on to Route 213 South at the traffic signal. Follow Route 213 South for six miles and cross the Chesapeake City Bridge. Take your first immediate right off of the bridge, there will be an exit, and bear to your right at the yield sign. This will bring you to a stop sign under the bridge. At the stop, make a left on George Street and follow George Street into town to a dead end. At the dead end, make a right on to First Street. At the end of First Street, make a left on to Bohemia Avenue. The Bayard House Restaurant is the last house on the left. Annapolis/Western Shore/Queen Ann's County Drive North over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (if applicable) to U.S. Route 301 North. Drive forty miles on Route 301 North to Route 313, make a left at the blinker signal. In three miles Route 313 will become Route 213 North. Follow Route 213 North ten miles to the Chesapeake City Bridge. Take the last possible right before crossing the bridge, there will be an exit. Follow that road (George Street) straight into town to the dead end. At the dead end make a right on to First Street. At the end of First Street make a left at the stop sign on to Bohemia Avenue. The Bayard House Restaurant is the last house on the left. |
